For those keeping track, this site will soon move to
the guildNet's
http://www.students.uwi.tt/Societies/Computing. Updated
info should be there by the middle of November. The Popups are now
"Demand Driven" so your browser doesn't stop for a while loading
popups you're not gonna use every time you visit a page. In
english, this means that the pages should load faster with minimal
performance degregation.
1998, October 25
Due to midterm and due projects stress, the society's site has
not been updated for a while. On the bright side,
The guildNet
now has it's own official domain, you can click on the banner
above and be taken there. This site should now cause less errors
and load quicker (which is always good).

The seminar on jobs in the computer industry was good.
Free to members an non-members alike. The seminar took place in
the LRC on Thursday 15th October at 2:00pm. If you want more
info you know where to go.

The web site of the Computing Society of the University of the
West Indies is currently back up. All dynamic html is back with the
exception of the menu (which is being worked on). The Society
is very active and apologies go out to those who saw the site
starting to house spiders. If you're a potential new member
or this is the first time at the site, why not
join us? It may just be worth
your while.
